Will macarons melt in outdoor FL weather?
Yes, the filling will melt and saturate the macaron shell. It will turn the macaron into mush. The delicate chocolate, butter or fruit based filling will melt.
Must macarons stay refrigerated?
Your macarons can remain at room temperature for 6 hours. As per food handling safety, anything that is not consumed after 6 hours must be thrown away.
If not consuming right away, it is recommended to keep your macarons frozen or refrigerated. When you are ready to eat, thaw them at room temperature for 40-60 minutes.
Your macarons can remain frozen in an air tight container for up to 30 days. After thawing they can remain refrigerated for 7 days at maximum. As per handling safety, anything that is not consumed by day 7 must be thrown away.
To experience the best flavor, consume your macarons by the “Best By Date”.
